NeSpoon creates a mural at DOMOTEKA

A global icon of street art brings lace into DOMOTEKA.
Intricate, detail-rich patterns have become her signature. Her works adorn building facades in Paris, Berlin, Delhi, and Hong Kong, while images of her murals circulate across global media and social feeds. Now, NeSpoon, one of Poland’s most recognizable urban artists, is creating a mural at DOMOTEKA in Warsaw. She will bring her fascination with traditional Polish Koniaków lace patterns onto its walls.
Today, NeSpoon’s works can be found in over 100 cities, across 40 countries and five continents. Her projects have been presented at institutions such as the Louvre Museum in Lens, the Polish Pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai, and the European Parliament. She is also currently working on a project related to the upcoming reopening of the Pergamon Museum in Berlin. For years, NeSpoon has consistently developed her own visual language, combining contemporary street art with motifs of traditional, centuries-old craftsmanship. This balance between design and art led to her collaboration with DOMOTEKA—a place long associated with exceptional interior design offerings.
“DOMOTEKA has always been a place of inspiration for those interested in quality, design, and interior architecture. Inviting NeSpoon to create a mural is a natural step in developing this idea. We want our space to be more than purely commercial—we want it to invite engagement with art and contemporary visual culture,” explains Agata Brzezińska, Senior Director, Head of CEE Pradera.
Work on the mural has already begun. By the end of March, a large-scale installation inspired by NeSpoon’s signature lace motif will appear in the main hall of DOMOTEKA. For 15 years, the artist has been transferring these traditional patterns into various spaces in the form of monumental murals, ephemeral installations, ceramic objects, and street graffiti. In this way, lace—often created by anonymous craftswomen centuries ago—gains new life in a completely different context.
“For me, lace is a record of harmony and beauty, created through generations of women and centuries of tradition. By bringing these patterns into DOMOTEKA, I want to show that lace can connect intricate craftsmanship with modern design, and that art brings people together regardless of place or culture,” says NeSpoon.
NeSpoon’s murals often become iconic elements of urban spaces worldwide, photographed by residents, influencers, and tourists. Their visual lightness and precision make large-scale compositions resemble delicate, openwork structures floating on building facades. The DOMOTEKA project will be another example of how art can appear in everyday, accessible spaces. The mural is being created in the main hall, and over the coming weeks, visitors will be able to watch the process live—from the first sketches to the final details, to be completed by the end of this month.
