Update

On June 25, 2025, at 6:00 PM, in the Livingroom showroom at DOMOTEKA, another meeting in the DOMOpasje series will take place. This time, the guest of the event will be Anna Dec – journalist, presenter, mother, a woman of exceptional sensitivity and aesthetic sense, associated with the TVN Group for many years.

WHEN: Wednesday, June 25, 2025, 6:00 PM
WHERE: Livingroom showroom, DOMOTEKA, ul. Malborska 41, Warsaw

Anna Dec, known from TVN24 and TVN Meteo, has built her media image for years based on authenticity, professionalism, and elegance. Honored with the prestigious title of Best Weather Presenter in Europe at the 2014 Wettergipfel competition, she not only delivers weather reports but also inspires others to live in harmony with themselves.

For Anna, interiors are much more than just a backdrop. They are a conscious choice that directly impacts quality of life. That’s why her presence in the DOMOpasje series is no coincidence. She represents what’s most valuable in design – coherence, simplicity, and deep attentiveness to people. By balancing her professional work, motherhood, and passion for beautiful, functional spaces, she sets an example of how to find harmony between aesthetics and everyday comfort.

The meeting with Anna Dec will take place in the Livingroom showroom – a space that encourages free-flowing exchange of thoughts and inspiration. During the DOMOpasje talk, she will share how the look and function of interiors affect our well-being, what “home” means to her, and how to shape a style that reflects who we truly are. It will be a great opportunity to explore how to create not just physical, but also emotional space around us. How to live more slowly, but more fully. How to find meaning in everyday life and care for your rhythm using the power of details, light, and harmony.

Admission to the event is free, but registration is required – the number of places is limited: https://domopasjezannadec.konfeo.com/pl/groups

On May 31 and June 1, the Bohema space in Warsaw’s Praga district will once again become a vibrant hub. The spring edition of Artshow, themed “Factory of Accessible Art,” will gather over a hundred artists from across Poland. Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase hundreds of exceptional artworks and relax in the special Comfort Zone, curated by Warsaw’s Design Center, DOMOTEKA.

Phenomenal artworks—from painting and ceramics to photography and spatial installations—will be available at Artshow for the public not only to view but also to purchase. It’s one of the rare events in Poland where you can meet artists, see them at work, and engage in conversations about their creations without barriers.

Among the exhibitions, lectures, and live art shows, DOMOTEKA will also make its presence felt by inviting guests to the Comfort Zone—a space created with products from brands available at DOMOTEKA. This will be a relaxation and rest area for everyone.

Warsaw’s Design Center, DOMOTEKA, known for its wide range of furniture, lighting, and interior accessories, is not just a shopping destination but also a space that regularly connects the world of design with art. It frequently hosts exhibitions of renowned and debuting Polish artists, organizing author meetings, exhibitions, and educational events. By supporting local creators, it bridges the gap between art and daily life, convincing that a home’s interior can be as inspiring as a gallery.

Participation in Artshow is another manifestation of this commitment. Once again, DOMOTEKA joins the group of partners supporting the event, promoting the idea of accessible art. This time—by inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the world of comfortable, high-quality, and functional design.

“Artshow was born from the conviction that art should be present in everyday life—not only in galleries but also in our homes. That’s why the presence of partners who understand this idea is so valuable. DOMOTEKA, supporting young creators and actively promoting applied art, perfectly fits into the philosophy of Artshow,” emphasizes Ewa Mierzejewska, the founder and organizer of the event.

The comfortable space arranged using furniture from DOMOTEKA’s portfolio will not only be a place of relaxation but also a moment of respite for all who—while traversing the exhibition halls—will absorb the energy flowing from contact with the best Polish creators.

Milan once again proved that it is the birthplace of the most important design trends, which are promoted worldwide. This year’s edition of Salone del Mobile and the accompanying Milan Design Week attracted thousands of designers, brands, and design enthusiasts from all over the world. DOMOTEKA, as a source of inspiration for architects and clients in Poland, has prepared a summary of the most interesting phenomena, trends, and premieres in the form of the Salone del Mobile 2025 Report, which had its premiere during the spring edition of the DOMOdesign event at DOMOTEKA.

Salone del Mobile, Milano 2025, and the accompanying Milan Design Week gathered the most important brands related to interior design, designers, curators, and media from around the world, offering participants an emotional and sensory experience of design – both in aesthetic and social dimensions.

As every year, DOMOTEKA – the design and interior equipment center in Warsaw’s Targówek district – closely followed what was happening in the Lombardy capital. The result of this observation and numerous expert analyses is the Salone del Mobile 2025 Report, prepared in collaboration with brands designing furniture and accessories, architects, journalists, and editors of the most important Polish interior design media.

The Report, prepared by DOMOTEKA, is not only a compendium of knowledge but also a visual journey through the most inspiring spaces and exhibitions of this year’s Salone and Milan Design Week. It includes, among others, selected color, material, and functional trends, reports from the “La dolce attesa” installation by Paolo Sorrentino, Pedro Almodóvar and Rossy de Palma’s projects for Roche Bobois, and the “Romantic Brutalism” exhibition promoting Polish design. Polish designers succeeded in conquering Milan this year. The works of creators like Oskar Zięta, Zofia Chylak, Marek Bimer, and Marcin Rusak drew great interest, with international guests lining up in huge queues to see their artistic objects. The “Romantic Brutalism” exhibition became one of the most highly rated exhibitions of the week according to global media such as “Wallpaper,” “Dezeen,” and “Designboom.”

The DOMOTEKA Report is also a reflection on the role of design in creating a more conscious and empathetic world. It includes analyses of the most important trends – from soft, organic forms, through reinterpretations of classics, to a strong turn towards craftsmanship and recycling.

The full version of the Report is available for free on the website domoteka.pl. It’s an inspiration that allows you to look at the world of design from a new perspective – through the eyes of those who were there and understand that design is not just about form but also a story about our times.

WHERE: DOMOTEKA, Malborska 41, Warsaw
WHEN: April 26, 2025 (Saturday), at 5:00 PM

During the Closing Day, the artist himself will be present. This is the last opportunity to meet the creator in person and view and purchase his works.

WITOLD ZANDFOS
Born in Warsaw in 1938, Witold Zandfos is a professional architect. He studied Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where he was a student of Professor Bohdan Urbanowicz. Since 1963, he has lived and worked in Paris.
His primary professional focus has been architecture. From 1965 to 1971, together with architects Jan Karczewski and Michel Lefebvre, he created the group MIASTO, conducting research on futuristic forms for utopian cities of the future. Their work has been the subject of numerous publications and exhibitions across Europe, as well as participation in many architectural competitions. In 1965, he received the 1st prize at the Biennale in Paris and the Grand Prix d’Architecture et d’Urbanisme in Cannes (1969 and 1970).
From 1971 to 1983, Zandfos worked as an urban planner on the construction of New Towns in the Paris region, and in 1983, he opened his own independent architectural studio. Since then, he has built over 30 public buildings, several housing complexes, and new districts in various French cities. During the martial law period in Poland, he actively participated in the movement of Polish architects in France for the victims of repression, creating political posters.
Zandfos, whose interest in painting appeared at the age of 16, sporadically painted during his active architectural career, but returned to painting in the last 25 years. During this time, his works have been featured in numerous solo exhibitions in France and Poland, including at the Roi Doré Gallery in Paris (2010), the ZPAP Pryzmat Gallery in Kraków (2008), the University of Pierre et Marie Curie Gallery in Paris (2007), and the Roger Ikor Gallery in Frette-sur-Seine (2007). He also participated in the Peintres-Architectes group exhibition at the SARP Gallery in Warsaw (2008) and the SARP Gallery in Gdańsk (2011).
This talented painter and architect is also a collector of ethnic and “primitive” art, often drawing from these influences in his work, which has been exhibited at the Grand Palais in Paris (2019, 2020).

The DOMOpasje series of events, which has been hosting popular personalities from the fields of architecture, culture, design, and ecology at DOMOTEKA in Warsaw’s Targówek, returns with another event. On April 24, 2025, Thursday at 6:00 PM, there will be a meeting at the DOMOTEKA Design Center with Jagna Niedzielska – the host of the TV programs “Widelcem po mapie” and “Kuchnia bez resztek Jagny Niedzielskiej”, author of books, educator, and promoter of zero waste cooking. Jagna’s Instagram profile currently has over 80 thousand followers, which indicates the continued interest in her thoughtful and conscious approach to cooking. She is already considered one of the most important figures in Polish ecological cuisine.

JAGNA NIEDZIELSKA is a person whose passion for cooking has turned into a widespread promotion of conscious use of everyday food products. After years of running her own catering company and bistro, Jagna focused on promoting the “zero waste” philosophy in the kitchen, becoming one of the leading voices among Polish culinary influencers. She is the author of books such as “Ekologiczna kuchnia Jagny Niedzielskiej” and “Bez resztek”, which inspire cooking with full respect for nature, minimizing waste, and making the most of products available in the fridge. She also hosts the popular podcast “Nie-zrównoważona Niedzielska”, organizes workshops, and appears on television programs, sharing her knowledge and passion. She is also a participant in the “Azja Express” program, where, together with Gabi Drzewiecka, she traveled across the Philippines.

During the meeting with Jagna Niedzielska, DOMOTEKA guests will have the opportunity to learn how cooking can become a tool for taking care of our planet. Jagna will also share her experiences from the food industry, talk about her passion for zero waste, and reveal how to minimize food waste in everyday cooking.

DOMOpasje is a series of meetings that attracts extraordinary personalities from various fields of life. Previous guests at the Warsaw interior design center included, among others, Ewa Ewart, a documentary filmmaker focused on social themes, artist Magda Atkins, celebrity architect Ola Ziarek, Pani Jurek, and jewelry designer Anna Orska. Each of these meetings was a unique opportunity to discover the passions behind the creativity and work of these women. The meeting with Jagna Niedzielska at DOMOTEKA is not only an opportunity to learn about the zero waste idea but also an inspiration to make conscious changes in everyday life.

The meeting will take place on April 24, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the DOMOTEKA Design Center, in the Aksonometria showroom. Admission is free, but due to the limited number of seats, registration is required: https://domopasjezjagnaniedzielska.konfeo.com/pl/groups

We invite you!

DOMOTEKA invites you to the opening of the exhibition “Art for the Home. FEELINGS”

WHERE: DOMOTEKA, Malborska 41, Warsaw (1st floor)
WHEN: April 12, 2025 (Saturday), 5:00 PM

“Art for the Home” is one of the projects of the Heart of Art community, founded by Marek Mistarz and his daughter Kamila Mistarz. They combined their passion for art with the mission of supporting artists in their development and success in the art market.

Karolina Ageena, the exhibition curator, creator, and project manager of “Art for the Home”, is a professional interior designer (Studio Zaczynka) and a Business and Management teacher at a secondary school.

Although “feelings” may not be the first association when thinking about interior paintings, this is the title of the current exhibition. It is also the title of one of the works by Monika Janoszka-Zawadzka, who creates under the pseudonym Sensualite. Feelings became the primary material woven into the paintings and drawings of the five artists participating in the “Art for the Home” project, which begins with this April exhibition. Their works radiate emotions, create an atmosphere, delight, bring joy, and surprise. In Sensualite’s work, emotionality is expressed through the vibrating, delicate line of a pen and fineliner. Something remains unspoken – there is mystery, delicacy, and curiosity about how the story will end and what exactly it tells. Portraits can be viewed for hours, and despite the minimalist means of expression, the artist succeeds in creating movement, conveying the depth of the character’s gaze. The sketches have an intimate character, and their use in various interiors is practically limitless.

Agata Ziembińska experiments with a variety of themes that she chooses from within her intuition. The motifs have significance, but the most important element is color, which, as seen in “Green Aurora and the seascape, can serve a therapeutic function. Sometimes, the color is quite limited and muted.

Szymon Ćwikliński works in multiple areas of art: drawing, sculpture, and painting. He describes his own work as “a journey into the inner self, hidden in intimate dreams and visions.” He combines emotionality with an intellectual approach. In his works, he uses metaphors – figures juxtaposed with buildings create the inner human architecture. The artist says of his art: “Traveling through the ‘world of imagination’ is thanks to my belief in the spiritual mission I have to fulfill as an artist. I immerse myself entirely in the spiritual realm of the imagined world. I present to the viewer both realistic figures and a world that is a product of my imagination. (…) I pay much attention to shaping the form, so I can ‘sculpt’ my characters, striving for the perfection of chiaroscuro and harmony of colors. I am torn by contradictions (…)”.

In the age of artificial intelligence, feelings are what make us unique, distinguishing humans from mechanical beings. We all have them and are guided by them. Yet, it is the artists who have the courage to show them in their works, perhaps exposing their own soft layers. If you are looking for a work that is not just a decoration or intellectual exercise, this exhibition is definitely for you. The works of five artists in digital form are available on the “Art for the Home” portal, created to make the selection of art for your home a pure pleasure. It is a simple process that allows you to become a collector and owner of beauty in your own home.

At Agnieszka Pakuła’s, an artist associated with Warsaw, you can see the juicy expression bursting from the brush, the emotional charge used thoughtfully and powerfully. Flat patches, bold brushstrokes, intense colors, and contrasts create extraordinary effects reminiscent of Francis Bacon. Although the style is unique and expressive, it is clear that the works are the result of a conscious artistic path. The artist presents works from four of her cycles: Cages, Substances, Das System, and Contemporary Naked Man. She herself says: “The themes I address are often unpleasant, but my goal is not to merely shock with negative emotions. I want them to be noticed, acknowledged, and integrated so that they can transform into something better.” “Emotions are for me the starting point to tell a story through art. I use many media and forms of artistic expression, but painting has always been closest to me. Interaction with the viewer is very important because, in my opinion, art cannot exist in a vacuum.”

The oppositional world speaks to us from the canvases of Marta Iwanowska. The paintings titled “Silence”, “Surface of Calm”, and “Harmony” take us to a safe place where balance can be found. Nothing disrupts the peace, no dissonance reaches us. It is a distant land, but also metaphorically connected to inner idyll. The use of a limited color palette – pastel greens, grays, beiges, and blues – makes the paintings blend perfectly with boho, Scandinavian, or warm minimalist interiors.

We warmly invite you to the first networking meeting dedicated to premium real estate market clients.

The event is organized in cooperation with the companies: DOMOTEKA, the BIZZARTO brand, which will host participants at its showroom, and the external company M2 Capital – specializing in the comprehensive construction and finishing of premium turnkey homes.

This meeting is an excellent opportunity to establish valuable business contacts and exchange experiences in the industry. We invite all those interested in residential real estate – clients looking for houses and apartments, developers, lawyers, representatives of construction companies, designers, and industry enthusiasts.

DATE: April 7 (Monday), 10:00 AM
LOCATION: DOMOTEKA, Malborska 41, Warsaw – Targówek, Bizzarto showroom (ground floor)

We invite you to the exhibition of paintings by Katarzyna Środowska titled “RETROGRANDE” and “PARALLEL PLANES”.

KATARZYNA ŚRODOWSKA – painter born in Warsaw in 1971. She works with oil painting on canvas. She simultaneously develops two styles: figurative and geometric. Her works emanate calm and harmony, encouraging the viewer to reflect and focus, to find inner balance. Through precision in color choice and proportion, the artist creates spaces that seem almost three-dimensional. In the world of geometric forms and minimalist compositions, there is a deep need for order, reflected in the artist’s work.

A graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology in the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and post-graduate studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź at the Faculty of Painting and Drawing. A member of the Mazovian Association of Fine Arts (Vice-President for the term 2024-2028). A finalist of the V National Painting Competition in Honor of Leon Wyczółkowski, organized by the ZPAP Bydgoszcz District in cooperation with the Municipal Gallery bwa in Bydgoszcz. Author of solo exhibitions and participant in numerous group exhibitions and painting plein airs. She collaborates with Polish galleries and auction houses. Many of her works are in private collections in Poland and abroad.

The “Retrogrande” series of paintings combines the past with the present. It is a return to the shapes, motifs, and colors of the 70s, which serve as a backdrop for simple geometric forms symbolizing the 21st century. Colors play an important role here. They are strong, intense shades of geometric shapes combined with blurred, subtle pastels, vintage textures, creating minimalist compositions. Gentle browns, yellows, beiges, oranges are meant to put the viewer in a good mood, offering comfort, peace, and joy. By using characteristic colors of the 70s, I try to maintain the nostalgic atmosphere of the past while combining it with the modernity and freshness of contemporary times.

The “Parallel Planes” series consists of squares that represent spatial tunnels leading to the individual realities of each of us, to our personal worlds. Through form, color, and light, I introduce the viewer to border states – an experience at the intersection of reality and illusion. The centrally placed Symbol – Square – a symbolic representation of the perfect form, is located at the point where the material meets the beyond-worldly. It takes us from one plane to another, participating in both.

The exhibition will last until May 17.
